published by FMNM, LLC ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by
these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the
Site.
The Site provides geographic information about North American phone numbers ("Caller Info") — specifically the city, county, and state typically associated with each NANP area code and rate center. All lookup data is embedded in the page and queried locally by your browser; no server-side lookup occurs.
You may freely view and use the Site for personal, educational, or internal business purposes. You agree not to:
Caller Info displayed by the Site is informational only. It is derived from publicly-available numbering-plan data that reflects where a phone number was originally assigned, not necessarily where the caller currently is. Because of number portability (in effect since 2003), VoIP routing, caller-ID spoofing, and ordinary data staleness, Caller Info may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong.
Do not rely on Caller Info for any safety, legal, financial, medical, emergency, or otherwise consequential decision. The Site is not a substitute for verified caller identity, telephone carrier services, or law-enforcement information.
The Site offers an optional donation flow processed by Stripe. Donations are voluntary and not required for any feature of the Site. Donations are not tax-deductible — FMNM, LLC is a for-profit company, not a registered charity. Refund requests should be sent to contact@fmnm.us within 90 days of payment.
See the Privacy Policy for what the Site does and does not collect. The short version: nothing about you is collected by us; Cloudflare and Stripe receive standard request / payment metadata as described in that policy.
The Site's design, code, branding, and original written content are owned by FMNM, LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. "Call From Where" is a trademark of FMNM, LLC.
The underlying telephone numbering data is largely factual public information published by NANPA and similar regulatory sources, and individual facts are not subject to copyright. Our specific compilation, selection, and presentation of that data are protected as a thin compilation copyright; please do not redistribute it as a derivative service without attribution.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL FMNM, LLC OR ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (a) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, (b) ANY ACTION OR INACTION YOU TOOK BASED ON CALLER INFO PROVIDED BY THE SITE, (c) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, OR (d) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATED TO THE SITE.
IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) THE AMOUNT YOU DONATED TO FMNM, LLC THROUGH THE SITE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (ii) FIVE U.S. DOLLARS ($5.00).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FMNM, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or demand (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Washington, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
You may stop using the Site at any time by closing the page. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site (or any portion of it) at any time, with or without notice. Sections 4, 7 through 11, and 13 survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, where practical, by a banner on the Site's home page. Your continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FMNM, LLC regarding the Site and supersede any prior agreements.
